Installing the app
You must give the app all the permissions it requests in order for it to work properly. Any one permission denied will not allow the app to function as intended.

On the welcome page tap on Sign up

Sign-up

Fill in your contact details. Your email address will be your username. Enter your mobile phone (cell phone) number without the trailing zero.

Add payment details

Enter the details of a credit or debit card from which you intend to make payments. Your payment is securely processed by Stripe (www.stripe.com). We do not store your payment details.

Authenticate card holder

You will be asked to authenticate your request via your own bank or card provider.

Complete authentication

Once authentication is complete you may head back to the app by closing the confirmation window.

E-mail verification

A Welcome email will be sent to the email address you had entered during registration. Click the link in that email labelled Confirm my account in order to verify your email address.

Sign in

Once you have verified your email address, you can use it to log in to the app. Use the password you had set during registration.

Requesting a Service

Browse to the Services tab and choose the category of Service you require. On choosing Building Services for example, you then tap the button labelled Connect to a professional, situated at the bottom of the screen.

Search for the help you require

In the white box at the top of the Search screen you can type words related to the kind of help you would like.

Select keywords

As you type, results appear in a drop-down menu which you can scroll through. Once you see the keyword or phrase that best matches your needs, tap on it to select it. You can add multiple keywords or phrases to your search by searching for more items and selecting them from the lists of results that appear.

Enter the location

In the box labelled Postcode enter the postal code of the property at which the work is to be carried out. Presently, only UK postcodes are accepted.

Request to speak to a professional

Once the location (postcode) is entered, the app will display the number of professionals available and the Request button at the bottom of the screen will be activated (change colour).

Send request

On tapping the button labelled Request a professional all service providers that are qualified to service your request will be notified right away.

Previous professionals (Optional)

Tapping the “previous professionals” box, displays professionals with which you have previously discussed jobs related to the search terms you have currently selected. This box will be empty, if you are using the app for the first time.If you do decide to reconnect with a previous professional, tap on his or her name to select it. If a previous professional is chosen, the app will send a notification to that particular person only.In case the chosen professional does not respond, the app will give you the choice of sending a broadcast of the request to all other relevant professionals.

On acceptance of your request

When a service provider accepts your request, your mobile device will ring, much like it does in a FaceTime or WhatsApp call.

Start Video Call

To initiate a conversation with the Professional, you must accept the incoming call. Once the video call is accepted by both participants you will be able to see and talk to each other. The video call permits you to show the Service Provider the work you need done. For example, you may show a Plumber a dripping kitchen tap or a leak at the property.

Once in the video call with a Professional, you may:
  • Switch off your camera
  • Mute your microphone
  • Flip the camera from front to back facing, and vice versa
  • End the call

Tools

The video call (remote Session) comes with a variety of handy tools. Whiteboard: tapping the Pen button at the bottom right of the video screen takes users to a whiteboard, on which both participants can write. Remote participants see each other’s writing.

The whiteboard contains some useful tools:
  • Pen tool - to change the colour and thickness of pen strokes
  • Eraser tool - to rub out any lines drawn on the whiteboard
  • Document upload tool - to share pictures and/or PDF documents

Document sharing

Tapping the paperclip button on the whiteboard brings up the document sharing window, which allows any one of the participants to share pictures or PDF documents via:
  • (a) camera on the mobile device (Camera button), or
  • (b) the picture gallery, e.g. Photos on the iPhone (Image button), or
  • (c) the local or remote drives to which the device has access (Folder button)

Ending a call

Either participant can end a call by tapping the End Call (Hang up Telephone) button on the video screen. If neither participant ends a call manually, the app itself will end the video call automatically, after one hour.

Rating screen

After a video call ends, the Rating screen is shown. Customers will have the opportunity to rate the Professional with which they spoke. The Read notes button brings up the notes made during a call. If any documents and images were uploaded during the call, they will be embedded in the PDF displayed. Customers will also receive an email entitled “Seven Session bundle” with a link to this same PDF.

Sessions list

On the Sessions tab you will see a list of all your past Sessions. Tapping on a Completed Session, will bring up the Session Details card, at the bottom of the screen. Tapping the Read notes link on a Session Details card will load the notes made for that particular Session. If no notes were made, the app will display a message stating that “There are no notes to view”

Receiving requests

On the Settings tab (bottom right), switch on the Receive requests toggle button when you wish to receive job requests. When the Receive requests button is on, you will receive notifications of job requests, whether the app is open or closed. Switching off the button will silence the app to all incoming work requests.

Responding to requests

When a customer requests a service, you will receive a Session Request notification right away.On some notifications you will see Decline and Accept buttons, which you can use directly. Alternatively, tapping the notification itself, will bring up a box with Decline and Accept buttons and information on the job and its location.On receiving a Session Request notification, you may:

  • Tap the notification to Accept the request
  • Ignore the notification and, after 2 minutes, it will be deleted
  • Tap the notification to Decline the request
  • Swipe away the notification, which also declines the request

On accepting a request

If you Accept a Session Request, your mobile device will ring, much like it does in a FaceTime or WhatsApp call.

  • To initiate a conversation with the Customer, you must accept the incoming call.
  • Once the video call is accepted by both participants you will be able to see and talk to each other.
  • The video call permits you to see the work that needs to be done. For example, you may ask to see the leak being reported at the property or a gas boiler’s displayed error message.
